Royal Roastery Houston: We Came for the Viral Dubai Chocolate… and Found a Whole Experience

We heard about the Dubai chocolate — you know, the one everyone’s been posting and that’s exactly why we went. But walking into Royal Roastery, we were genuinely surprised by everything else they had to offer.

I went with my husband and our kids, expecting a quick in-and-out for that viral moment but we ended up staying much longer than planned. The space was beautiful, the energy was warm, and everything felt thoughtfully curated.

It wasn’t just a chocolate stop, it was an experience. There was something cozy and elevated about the whole place. And the best part? My daughter got to pick out candy from their full-on candy section, which she loved. The tea sets and kettles were stunning, and the crepes? So good.

This place had layers — sweets, culture, and hospitality all in one.

What We Loved Most:

• The viral Dubai chocolate (yes, worth the hype)

• The adorable candy section — perfect for little ones

• Their gorgeous tea kettles and full tea set displays

• Fresh crepes that were beautifully made and delicious

• How welcoming it felt as a family-friendly spot

It’s rare to find somewhere that hits the aesthetic and the comfort especially with kids in tow but Royal Roastery did.
